This Site–specific video installation by Regina José Galindo, was commissioned by La Caja Blanca gallery for the tunnels adjacent to the vaults which protect Spain’s national gold reserves. Whilst on the streets of Madrid, the growing sense of social unease becomes palpable, a crisis is strangling the economy, breaking down the borders that once preserved the privileged life of a carefree European city. With breathtaking speed and the unmistakable sound of a siren, the streets of Madrid merge with those of Guatemala City.	video showing the audiovisual project as installed in the Metro Station of Banco de España, Madrid, February 2011
