La Caja Blanca is pleased to present an exhibition of ephemeral sculptures, installations, and works on paper by Ellie Reid (UK 1975).

Rock Paper Scissors is the third in a series of projects through which Reid explores current thought and practice in contemporary sculpture.

The first two projects have already left their mark on London’s alternative and academic art scene. Transformer (April 07) and PhaseSpace (October 07) were co-curated and co-produced in with fellow Slade graduate Lisa Peachy. Whilst the former focused on the influence of materials on practice and discourse, a concept which was further explored in the symposia running parallel to the show, the latter provided a theoretic and practical insight into the influence of the creation process.

Reid’s latest project, draws on her previous research, whilst taking her practice a step further, exposing the intimate bonds and tensions between materials, methods and languages.
