Ellie Reid [1975, UK]
Reid studied BA and MFA at the Slade School of Art, specialising in Fine Art Sculpture. In 2006 she was awarded the Clare Winsten Memorial Trust prize for “outstanding female graduating student” of British nationality, in conjunction with Lisa Peachy, recently been selected for the MaxMara – Whitechapel Gallery Art Prize. Her extensive exhibition history includes [selection]: Goods to Declare MFA International (Israel), Utopia (Athens), Slade Interim and Graduate Shows (UK), Besame Mucho (UK) Club (France) and Addressing the Century at London’s Hayward Gallery (UK). Her current exhibition at La Caja Blanca, is her first solo show in a private gallery. Forthcoming projects include London/Centrum exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum in 2008.
